Beach Manager

Applicants must have experience in supervision and staff scheduling. Customer service experience is also required.

Salary: $3,900 /Season (Split between 2 positions if possible)

Beach Managers begin work May 27th and end on September 10th (Beach Season)

ABI's Beach Managers are in charge of scheduling and managing all 2022 Beach Checkers.

Must be able to work weekends/holidays and other days as needed

Beach Manager Position Description

Beach Managers are responsible for reviewing Beach Checker job applications, interviewing qualified candidates, and presenting the list of selected interviewees to the Board of Directors for approval to hire. Beach Managers are responsible for scheduling Beach Checkers to ensure adequate coverage at all beaches and boat ramps throughout the season. Additional responsibility includes supervising Beach Checkers to ensure adequate verification logging is being documented and turned in daily, beach cleanup duties are being performed on a daily basis, ABI Beach Rules are being enforced, and handling more difficult situations when Beach Checkers request assistance. The Beach Manager oversees all party reservations and provides party parking passes as allotted for the respective party date. Beach Managers are also required to work collectively with the respective Board appointed Beach Representative to report security and maintenance related concerns.

Beach Checkers

Applicants must be 15 years of age and able to obtain a work permit

Salary starting at $12.20/hour

Beach Checkers begin work May 27th and end on September 5th (Beach Season)

Must be able to work weekends/holidays and other days as needed

Beach Checker Position Description

Beach Checkers are responsible for greeting beachgoers and accompanying authorized guests, as well as boat ramp users. All occupants must display a current valid beach pass and can only have four (4) authorized guests. All vehicles parking on beach property must display a current valid parking pass affixed to the lower driver's side windshield. No guest parking is permitted. Guests must park outside beach property and are not permitted to park on the beach access roadway or impede traffic at any time. Party reservations will be permitted up to ten (10) party parking passes provided by the Beach Manager for the day of the reservation only. All beachgoers are expected to follow ABI Beach Rules, monitored by the Beach Checker.

  • Greet beach goers and accompanying guests and verify credentials (beach passes, ramp access passes, and vehicle parking passes).

  • Log verification activity and provide a daily report to the Beach Manager for reporting to the Board and record retention by the Board Secretary.

  • Daily beach cleanup duties to include raking the beach area in the morning and monitoring/picking up loose trash throughout the day.

  • Notify the Beach Manager of full trash/recycling containers, or if the dumpster on site appears to be full

  • Ensure that all beachgoers follow all ABI Rules (keeping a copy of the rules on hand at all time for reference); notify the Beach Manager if complications arise.

  • ABI Beach Checker IDs and t-shirts will be assigned and must be worn while on duty for identification purposes.

  • Beach Checkers are expected to act professionally and in a courteous manner at all times, treating people with respect regardless of the situation.

ABI registrar

Applicants must have experience in data entry and reporting. Customer service experience is also required.

Salary $6,000/year

Work is required January through December

Work schedule is flexible and as needed

The Registrar is required to receive and process all registrations for ABI deed-mandated lot fees as well as processing orders for amenity passes, beach reservations, and the purchase/transfer of ABI Shares. The Registrar is required to check the ABI P.O. Box routinely for processing all mail, and works closely with the Treasurer and is required to attend monthly ABI Board meetings and provide a Registrar report.
