Arden Beaches, Inc.

ABI is the official organization within Arden on the Severn that manages and oversees the operations and maintenance of all community private beach properties. ABI is governed by its By-Laws and is accountable to its shareholders. All Sunrise Beach plotted properties are mandated to pay annual dues so that ABI can effectively manage its properties and make them available and accessible to all ABI members and authorized residents.

Arden on the Severn's beaches are PRIVATE PROPERTY for use by qualifying members and authorized guests ONLY! All property is posted "PRIVATE PROPERTY, NO TRESPASSING, TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED". Here in Arden, we value our private beach properties and WILL NOT TOLERATE trespassing, underaged drinking, and unauthorized social gatherings on our private properties. Security, neighborhood watch, and hired police patrol are on duty all year and violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

We are only a few months away from the ABI registration process for the 2023 season. A couple of housekeeping to ensure a smooth process for you and your family.

1) Be sure to update your contact information for the ABI registrar email using the current domain extension "registrar@ardenbeachesinc.com". Some of you may have ABI saved in your contacts under the old domain extension "ardenonthesevern.com". This domain is no longer active and email sent to this extension will be returned undeliverable. Making this update to your contacts will prevent correspondence from being returned undeliverable.

2) Use ABI's current website "www.ardenbeachesinc.com" for all your ABI business. The old "ardenonthesevern.wildapricot.org" site will be disabled beginning in October of this year.

Communication is important to all of us in Arden. While the registrar may post information and instruction through social media, correspondence IS NOT tracked through this platform. Please use the ABI email contacts found on the website to communicate with ABI representatives and staff. Registrar hours of operation will be posted on the website and announced on social media before the 2023 registration process begins. For ABI emergencies, please contact your beach representative listed on the webpage. ABI would like to thank you in advance for helping us to keep our lines of communication open and productive.

MAKE A DONATION TO ARDEN BEACHES INC to support much-needed maintenance, renovation, and improvement projects for Arden's private beaches, ramps, and park areas. The current annual mandatory lot fees are simply not sufficient to adequately maintain the integrity of our beach properties and to fund the necessary security operations to keep our beaches private for the exclusive use of qualifying lot owners, their dependents and authorized guests, as well as qualifying renters/boarders, and their dependents and authorized guests. ABI is working on developing a comprehensive Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to address infrastructure maintenance needs on all private beach properties to insure the integrity of our valuable resources. This process will allow outreach opportunities to educate all shareholders of these essential maintenance needs now and into the future, as well as the monetary component required to meet these needs in the form of annual mandatory lot fees inflation. AAco public waterway access project/park at valentine creek

UPDATE: Since AACo held their virtual kick-off meeting of stakeholders held on May 10th presenting 3 conceptual plans, the County Executive and Director of Constituent Services toured the property with stakeholders on July 26th as a result of feedback received through the surrounding communities. Joe Clark (ABI Chairman) was able to personally express Arden's concerns and the views of the majority of our survey participants with the County Executive.

The County Executive held a town hall at Baldwin Hall on July 27th to discuss this project as well as others in our surrounding area. In summary as a result of this recent involvement by the County Executive stated that the concepts presented by Recreation & Parks in May are now scrapped, further stating that the ecological damage of this projects far exceeds the benefit that would be offered to the public. The Crownsville Conservatory will stay involved, as will your Arden representatives, to project the "Big Woods" from any irresponsible use in the future. You may still participate in our community survey that will run through the end of summer 2022.
